Scotch 2228 is a premium grade Rubber Mastic Tape consists of ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) backing coated with a strong and temperature-stable mastic adhesive. This tape is a conformable self-fusing rubber electrical insulating and sealing tape. This tape is used to insulate, pad and seal bus bar and splice connections.

The tape is having a thickness of 1.65mm for quick application build-up. It is specially designed for electrically insulating and moisture sealing applications. Scotch 2228 can be applied on copper or aluminum conductors rated at 90°C with an overload rating of 130°C. It offers excellent resistance to moisture and ultraviolet exposure and is intended for both indoor and outdoor applications.
